The exact reasons Nebraska Cornhuskers linebacker Cody Glenn was suspended last season have still not been made clear, even after the player was selected by the Washington Redskins in the 2009 NFL Draft.
Since Glenn was suspended from the NCAA football team in November, Nebraska University has said only that Glenn's infraction did not constitute an NCAA violation.
It has been reported that Glenn sold complimentary tickets that he had received, which is against NCAA rules.
After Glenn was drafted in the fifth round by the Redskins, Vinny Cerrato, the Redskins executive vice president/football operations, commented on Glenn's suspension.
"That was for the ticket sales," he said. "You know what, our scouts do a good job with all the information we get.
